WW2-4RSU at Pell Airstrip

The Tour will give visitors a fascinating insight into the historic WW2 interpretive remnants of this heritage listed permanent camp for 500 men.

The tour takes around 2 hours and visits various work sites, a bomb crater, firing range, specialty areas, recreation and mess foundations – suitably different!

A great collection of work implements, and general artefacts.

The book “Restore to Service” is written about this camp and Walter Venn returned to talk with Jan Hills in 2000.

Toilet facilities available. Tea and Coffee can be requested.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheel chairs; most places can be seen from the vehicle, but better with short walk as well.
