The waterfalls are often what people remember most about Litchfield. Set amongst a spectacular tabletop range, the water that pours off the top is crystal clear and feeds a number of hidden cascades and plunge pools. Swimming can be found at various locations all year round, (check the latest updates to find out where swimming is currently safe as some areas are seasonal). Monsoonal troughs during our Tropical Summer can result in swimming being closed in all areas until the trough passes and water levels subside and currents slow.

A bushwalker’s paradise, there are many tracks that can be explored taking you to rock formations, magnetic termite mounds and historic sites. Get off the beaten track to enjoy the wildlife and birds. During the dry season 4WD tracks open for the more adventurous.
