Cascades

Keen to stretch your legs and take a hike? This one is for you.

overview

Road Access:  Sealed road.
Difficulty:  Upper Cascades Grade 4 Walk.  Moderate to steep incline in parts. 3.3 km return.
Lower Cascades Grade 4 Walk. 2.6 km return.

For those looking for something more challenging due to its rough tracks, there is a choice of two Cascades Walks, both Grade 4 walks.   When both of the walks are open, it is possible to do a loop walk 3.3km.

The Lower Cascades Walk is quite shady along the creek to Curtain Falls. Take note of swimming signage.

The steep Upper Cascades Walk up and over the hills has little shade and it is best to attempt at a cooler time of day. Swimming is usually permitted when you arrive at the Upper Cascades Creek.  Check the signage in our wet season as swimming may be cancelled for a few days when monsoonal floods create dangerous currents.
