It was a tough life for Pioneers and this small grave site surprisingly includes a large component of Chinese immigrants from the 1800’s, who were crucial in building the Overland Telegraph from Adelaide to Darwin.  However, when they discovered gold at Adelaide River many quit their jobs to seek their fortune mining.
